Privacy
Olise is an invite-only workspace for a known group of people. It sits on the host. It does not replace Gmail or Microsoft 365.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile. That grant is identity only.
When you connect a mailbox, that is a separate Google grant. We request permission to read, send, label, file, and trash mail on the host. We store an encrypted refresh token so the mailbox stays connected. We store message ids, thread ids, addresses, subject, snippet, labels, dates, and links to objects in your space. Mail bodies stay on Gmail until you open a thread, then they are fetched and not kept as the system of record.
Objects, tasks, spaces, and memberships are stored in our database. They are not Gmail data.
How we use it
We use this data to show your spaces, list and send mail, file and trash write-through to the host, and hang mail on work you already keep in Olise. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising. We do not let an in-space agent label, draft, summarise, or post to objects on its own.
Who can see it
Mail belongs to the person who connected the mailbox. Other people in a space do not receive your inbox. Objects and tasks in a space are visible to members of that space. Operators who run the service can access systems for security and repair; they are not given mail bodies as a matter of course.
Retention
Disconnecting a mailbox revokes the Google grant and deletes our local copy of that mailbox’s projection, including stored tokens. Trash on the host follows Gmail’s 30-day window. Account removal is done by an operator on request.
Google user data
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to run the service (hosting and database), to comply with law, or with your instruction.
